If you are coming to the camp in person, you don't need to do anything!
If you are doing the camp on your own, there are a few things you will need first.
- Make sure you have your supplies. If you want to get a kit, click this Contact Us page of the website or reply to my emails. *If you did not participate in RCC's summer camp, your family/school can buy supplies themselves if they want (cost ~$85).
- Make sure you have access to a Mac or Windows computer for the camp. You will also need high-speed internet during the camp.
*Chromebooks cannot run this software. Make an account here if you need to use a Chromebook for class. https://create.arduino.cc/editor
Chromebooks also need this software to work:

Download and install Arduino IDE:
- Use the following link to download the Arduino software. https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software
- You should see the following picture.
- Select the Windows link (top right) if you have a Microsoft PC or
- Select the Mac OS X link if you have a Mac computer.
- *There is no Chromebook option, those will not work.
You will be asked to donate. You do not have to, select "Just Download" in the bottom middle of the picture.
After the program downloads, select to start instillation. Follow the prompts in the grey boxes that appear on your screen. Example: Select Yes when it asks you if you want to make changes to your computer. Continue until instillation says it is completed.
